Northern Ireland’s FIRST Ceroc Dance Weekend

Rob Fearnett

Having an interest in music and audio technology from an early age, I was always likely to end up behind a DJ desk at some point. That chance came after a few years of dancing and being a Taxi, I took over as the regular DJ for a Ceroc weekly class.

Since then I've has had regular (and busy!) STDJ sets at Southport and Camber Sands and I've been lucky enough to be asked to DJ on the Ceroc River Cruise and also further afield in Austria and Canada too.

During lockdown I was on-line on the MIST weekends and I set up a weekly 'Wednesday Music Club' Zoom session for my local class in the Midlands. This led to getting together on-line with the NI 'Tuesday Tunes' gang and meeting my partner Steph. Inevitably this meant I moved across to 'Norn Iron', becoming a Ceroc teacher and co-franchisee, and the rest is history!

I love all the music genres played at Ceroc weekends but my personal preference is for the slower tracks. I believe you can really get into the music and enjoy a special connection and musical conversation in the smoother and more lyrical tunes.
